4 Principles
Philippians 3:12-15
From the beginning, God had designed us to be someone who continues to rise up with the intention that we make a difference with others, and be a blessing to others. To be able to go forward, God wants us to make changes in our lives and achieve a higher standard.
There are 4 principles that we consider necessary for our lives so that we can reach higher standard - a higher standard anymore. Paul teaches in Philippians 3:12-15, an extraordinary agenda of how we can have a higher standard or go to the next level.
One of the principles taught by the Apostle Paul so that we can achieve a higher standard again is we need to look different or do something differently. There are several things that can obstruct us to be different:
1. it is our busyness and routine can make us lose direction and could not see which way up to the top.
2. It is our past. We often do not want change because we still live in our past. Therefore, Paul teaches that we should leave what is behind us that will prevent us from achieving higher standards and move on. Learning to forgive others, and also our mistakes or failures in the past. Do not dwell in our past success, so we do not want to learn these new things that can go forward.
3. We do not want to pay the price. To become stronger, faster and jump higher an athlete needs to pay the price by keep practicing. To make a change and do things differently, we also need to pay the price. Many people do not want to pay the price for changing. And if we continue staying in our present state of the program, we even have to pay higher prices again.
4. We do not have faith. If we want to be different, we must make big changes. And to achieve that, we need to have faith as a mustard seed only.
We need to make decisions to achieve higher standards and be different. What things we need to change in order to achieve a better standard? Maybe we need to improve our relationship with God by seeking His presence over again every day, to improve our relationship with our spouses and also with our children.
