Greenberg’s Glove
Gold and silver do not exist to me, but what I have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk! Michael Greenberg is not the celebrities or government officials in New York. He likes most office workers, except when winter arrives. If in winter all the people hurrying so as not to linger in the open air, he just down the road and look for people who are cold. In his briefcase was always available some extra gloves for those who do not have, but had to survive in the cold, especially the homeless poor. It has been more than two decades Michael Greenberg does this. Many homeless people in New York recognized him as the father of Gloves Greenberg, and they know he did it purely out of love and concern to them. Acts 3:1-10 talk about three things: 1. sensitivity to see the needs of others; 2. sensitivity to recognize what is not there and what is in us; 3. act of love is an expression of gratitude to God. Peter and John care about the suffering of those who was lame from birth. People were expecting alms, but Peter and John did not have gold and silver. However, they have the power of prayer and that they provided. This crippled man was getting more than he expected. And, God be praised because of this incident. All around us there are many people in need and neglected. Let us try to find what we can do to manifest the love of Christ in them. In fact, small and simple deeds, if coming from a great love and love of God, will surely lead many people to glorify God.
